Hot & Sour Vegetable Dumpling Soup

Taiwanese classic style dumpling soup, its spicy, sour, fully vegetarian, and comes together with 3 ingredients in under 5 minutes!

Ingredients

For this recipe, pick your dumplings of choice in any amount that you desire, we recommend the following for the best taste~

  • ChiMei Cabbage & Tofu Gyoza
  • ChiMei Vegetable Dumpling

For the soup, we will be using:

  • Knorr's Instant Taiwanese Hot & Sour Soup
  • 1 beaten egg (optional)
  • Around 750ml of water or enough to fill 3/4 of your pot

Instructions

  1. Boil around 750ml of water in a pot. Pour the instant soup mix into the water and stir continuously for a minute until well combined.
  2. Add a pack of your frozen dumplings into the soup and let it cook for 3-4 minutes until cooked through, stirring throughout. 
  3. Optionally, beat an egg and pour slowly into the hot soup while stirring continuously. This should form an egg drop soup effect, adding even more to the deliciousness of this dish!
  4. Before serving, you can garnish with cilantro and drizzle some toasted sesame oil or some spicy chili oil on top for added spice!
