【Broad Bean Paste with Chili】
Broad Bean Paste (Doubanjiang) is one of the signature flavours used in traditional Chinese cuisine. Specially seasoned with broad beans to make the flavor mild and mellow, with a unique fragrance that you will recognize when you try it! This one is slightly spicy, perfect for Szechuan cuisine!
It promotes fluid production, and its effect of removing fishy smell is beyond the reach of other similar sauces which is a reason behind its popularity.
It can be used as a marinade for mixing sauces, dipping sauces or food processing. It is also suitable for cooking a variety of home-cooked dishes, such as fried pork with soy sauce, watercress fish or mapo tofu, stir-fried dishs, and vegan gyuwako soup.
GuWang uses the traditional brewing method, with the broad beans brewed in a vat for 6 months to get that signature taste.
