Classic Italian Bolognese Pasta

A hearty Italian classic featuring a rich, slow-cooked meat sauce made with tomatoes, minced beef, and aromatic herbs. You can recreate this comforting dish in just a few moments with the aid of Mike's ready made bolognese sauce!

Ingredients

Makes two servings:

  • 250g (1 cup~) of Mike's Bolognese Sauce
  • 200-250g (about half a pack) CamPania Pasta of your choice

*We recommend either spaghetti or linguine!*

  • 1 small onion (about 70g), finely diced
  • Similar amount of finely diced celery
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic, grated /minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil, or equivalent butter
  • 100g ground beef (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Basil or parsley, for garnish
  • Parmesan cheese, grated, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil your spaghetti in salted water for about 8-10 minutes or until al-dente, per package instructions. Drain and set aside when done.
  2. Heat a sauce pan with olive oil, then sauté your aromatic vegetables: onion, celery, and garlic until soft and fragrant.
  3. If you are adding minced beef, add additional bit of olive oil to the pan and add the beef to cook until browned, breaking apart and stirring with a spatula.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then add in your cup of Mike's Bolognese sauce, mixing well and then letting your sauce mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes
  5. Finally, throw in your pasta and mix well to combine with the sauce and serve, garnishing with your herbs and cheese!
