The manufacturer follows traditional methods to provide the premium taste, making sure to harvest seasonally during the coldest months. As there is less sunlight, the mushroom grows at a slower pace which allows it the time to develop a deeper, meat-like umami flavour.
Rehydration Instructions:
- Soak: Place the dried shiitake mushrooms in a bowl and cover them with warm water. Allow them to soak for 20-30 minutes, or until they become tender.
- Drain: Once rehydrated, drain the mushrooms and gently squeeze out any excess water.
- Use: The mushrooms are now ready to be used in your recipes. You can also use the soaking liquid as a flavorful mushroom broth!
